Seedling planting should not be too deep or too shallow, too deep will easily lead to "boring buds" and "not rooting", leading to weak growth and slow elongation of the seedling stage; Shallow planting is easy to cause the root system to be unable to absorb or regenerate nutrients.
A. Bare-rooted seedling planting: the planting depth should be slightly higher than the root neck of the seedling and flush with the original planting line; When planting, the seedlings must be upright, well rooted, planted straight, packed by layers, lightly lifted and compacted by layers, so that the roots of the seedlings are in close contact with the soil. After planting, the seedlings should be watered with water immediately, and the seedlings should be righted after seepage, and the holes should be sealed with soil.
B. Planting seedlings with soil balls: The process of loading, unloading and releasing seedlings should be slight and meticulous, so as to ensure the integrity of soil balls of seedlings. Put the tree in the center of the planting hole, stabilize the soil balls, and then remove the packaging materials. Keep the tree upright, and the upper surface of the soil ball is basically the same as the ground elevation, slightly higher than the ground, to prevent the roots from breathing hard and rotting easily when planted too deeply or too shallow; If the planting is too shallow, the root neck is vulnerable to low temperature freezing in winter and high temperature sunburn in summer, which will affect the survival or unfavorable growth. Then fill the soil, lift the seedlings up and step on them when they are half filled, and finally cover them with loose soil, pile them into a "steamed bread" shape, and pour enough water to fix the roots.
C, watering after planting. Newly planted seedlings must be watered with fixed root water to accelerate the close contact between soil and root system, and the irrigation amount should reach full irrigation. When the subsoil is still dry, the topsoil should not be wet. After 3-5 days, make water supplement twice according to climate conditions and soil conditions to improve the survival rate of trees.
