Steel ring damage can be roughly divided into the following categories:

1. Rim scratch: This kind of damage is very common. When the rim of the vehicle is close to the edge of the main road, it is very easy to rub against the rim of the hub when rotating. This situation can be repaired and renovated according to professional welding technology.

2. The rim of the steel ring is cracked and damaged: when the vehicle rim is hit by a hard object, the rim of the steel ring will crack and can be repaired by a special aluminum welder. Then after welding, the steel ring will be refurbished, reshaped and so on.

3. Blank rim: When the rim collides with a stone or a hard object, the rim of the vehicle rim will be knocked out of the gap and must be compensated with special rim compensation mortar.

4. Steel ring distortion: When the steel ring has collided with bending deformation, it is a serious situation. If the internal structure of the hub is not damaged, it can be corrected by plastic and cosmetic repair and the application of special corrector. But if the deformation is too obvious, the steel ring will be removed and replaced immediately.

Car rims are also called wheels. According to the material classification, it can be divided into steel wheels and aluminum alloy wheels. These two kinds of wheels have their advantages and disadvantages. The manufacturing process of steel wheel hub is simple, the cost is low, and the brittle fracture resistance is strong, but there are some defects, such as large net weight, large friction resistance of inertia force, poor heat dissipation and easy corrosion. Aluminum alloy wheels just fill the problem of steel wheels, but the price is more expensive.
