Dongyang River
Dongyang County was established in the first year of Wu Ding in the Three Kingdoms (266). The river is named after the county. The water flowing from Dongyang through Yiwu and Jinhua to Magongtan and into Lanxi is collectively called Dongyang River. With a total length of 198 kilometers, it is one of the three main sources of the Qiantang River.

The main stream of Dongyang River enters from the southeast of Hezhai, Niansanli Township After the county boundary, it was once named Wushang River, Yiwu River, and Dongjiang River. The water flow is not large in the dry season, but increases greatly in the flood season. Because the upstream slope is steep and the flow is rapid, while the downstream flow is slow and steady, there were frequent floods before the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the river bed swayed from north to south.
