I finally have some free time, so I will write about it and take my friends to Nanchong, Sichuan to experience it. It was already night when we arrived from Chengdu to Nanchong, so we went to bed after dinner and waited until we were full of energy to go sightseeing tomorrow.
On the first day we woke up and went to Jincheng Mountain. Jincheng Mountain is located in Shengguan Township, Gaoping District. Because of its careful protection, it looks like it has dense vegetation and patches of virgin forest. In the early morning, if you go to the heights of the mountain and look around, everything your eyes can see is green (what a great eye protection tool if you put it in the city), and the mist fills the green forest. Kai Lai gives Jincheng Mountain a mysterious fairyland feel.
There are many well-preserved temples in Jincheng Mountain, which feel full of ancient charm and solemnity. Perhaps it is precisely because of this that if you can stand quietly on the path in the forest, close your eyes, feel it with your ears, and feel the breeze blowing gently across your face and across the corners of your clothes, Jincheng Mountain will be unique. The sense of history once again amazed me. It seems that at this moment, I have understood the true meaning of "Tao". The stone carvings next to the ancient temple are exquisite and lifelike. I wonder if the skilled craftsmen at the time carved the patterns bit by bit with the same mood as me?
The next day we came to Jialing River. Jialing River has many years of history and is very rich in cultural connotations. It has also given birth to a lot of our splendid culture here. Among them, what interests me most are some classic legends about Jialing River.
It is said that on the bank of Jialing River, there is a red stone that I think is very special. It is particularly conspicuous against the surrounding green plants. This stone also has a very famous name, called Wangfu Stone. I really can’t find this picture, I will take it myself next time!
As for the Wangfu Stone here, I heard from the locals that there is such a legend: a very, very long time ago, there was no bridge on the Jialing River, and a young couple took a boat to cross the river to go home. Unfortunately, the boat ran aground. . Since they didn't have much food left, the husband decided to swim across the Jialing River and go home to get food to fill his stomach. Just as the husband was crossing the river, it suddenly started raining heavily and the river swelled. The husband could not swim back to the other side. He could only stand on the shore and turned into a stone. Seeing that her husband would not be gone for a long time, the wife went to the mountain to look over, and saw her husband turned into a stone man. She felt sad for a moment, turned into a stone, and looked at the other side.
The cascading mountain peaks, the ancient temples, the legends that make people tremble, and the endless rivers all make up the Nanchong in my impression. It is like a poem, singing quietly in my heart; it is like a picture scroll, treasured in my heart.
Walking through the Jialing River and seeing Wangfu Stone, let’s enjoy the unique beauty of Nanchong, a small town that is not inferior to Chengdu, Sichuan. If you choose this place during the Dragon Boat Festival, you will have a great time
