As the saying goes, the eyes are the windows to the soul. It shows that eyes play an important role in expressing feelings and aesthetics. So are dogs. In order to make dogs have beautiful eyes, some dogs with physical defects, such as Sharp, often have entropion due to genetic defects, and some diseases can also cause organic entropion, which often requires eyelid ectropion plastic surgery. The instruments commonly used in plastic surgery are general soft tissue incision, hemostasis and suture instruments. Dogs need to lie on their side, fix their heads and combine general anesthesia with local anesthesia. There are two common surgical methods.

One is temporary suture correction. This method is suitable for puppies with genetic defects. One or several vertical buttonhole sutures are made at the outer side of the entropion eyelid 0.5 ~ 1 cm away from the eyelid, so that the skin at the suture is entropion. When the entropion eyelid returns to normal, the degree of skin entropion is appropriate.

The second is skin resection and correction. After local shaving and disinfection, a 1 incision was made at a position 0.5 ~ 1.5 cm away from the eye margin and parallel to the eyelid. The length of the incision should be slightly longer than both ends of the everted part. Then make a 1 half-moon-shaped second incision between 1 incision and eyelid margin, the length of which is the same as that of 1 incision. The maximum width of its semicircle should be determined according to the degree of inversion. The skin flap that has been cut, including a part of orbicularis oculi muscle, is peeled off and removed together, and then the two sides of the incision are pulled together to suture the nodule.
