Terraced tea trees are characterized by strip-shaped dense planting, high planting density, high plant height trimmed to about 80- 100 cm, and high tea bud yield, which is suitable for mechanical picking. Most of the tea in the market belongs to terraced tea.
Arbor tea-generally refers to arbor tea trees scattered in holes and planted in tea gardens on different slopes, and is basically not only pruned and naturally grown, but also made of tea buds produced by arbor tea trees. Arbor tea generally refers to arbor tea (Yunnan Daye tea) distributed in Pu 'er, Xishuangbanna in southwest Yunnan, Dali, Lincang, Baoshan and Dehong in west Yunnan. The height of the tree can reach 4-6 meters, and the age of the tree ranges from decades to hundreds of years. Generally, it was planted in Ming and Qing Dynasties and early liberation. Xiaoshuhe tea is characterized by its dwarfing, many branches and dense buds, easy management and high yield, and it is also the main variety and type of platform tea cultivation.
Dashu tea-refers to the naturally occurring, relatively old, untrimmed and dwarfed tea tree and the processed tea bud. Dashu tea can include medium-sized plants such as Qiaomu tea and Xiaoshu tea, with natural plants and no dwarfing control. Its tree shape is naturally formed, without dwarfing, with different heights and diverse varieties.
Ancient tree tea-refers to the tea produced by the big leaf tea tree or its tea buds in ancient Yunnan. In recent decades, it has been found in Pu 'er and Banna in southwestern Yunnan, Dali, Lincang, Baoshan and Dehong in western Yunnan.
The characteristics of ancient tree tea: the age of the tree is more than several hundred years, the quantity is limited, it is completely in a natural growth state, and the plants are tall or strong. Real processed products of ancient tea buds are scarce and expensive.
