Qingdao University is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province jointly established by Shandong Province and Qingdao City. It is a national high-level university graduate program, a national "key discipline project" construction university, a demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, a scholarship receiving institution for overseas students in China, a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and the first batch of famous schools in Shandong Province.
It has been selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, and has a national college student cultural quality education base and a national Chinese education base. The earliest source of the school is Qingdao College, which was founded in 1909 and later became Qingdao Medical College.
Another source is the private Qingdao University, which was founded in 1924, and then went through the running period of National Qingdao University and National Shandong University. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, National Shandong University merged with Qingdao Medical College to form a medical college, which later became Qingdao Medical College. 65438-0993, the former Qingdao University merged with Qingdao Medical College, Shandong Textile Vocational and Technical College and Qingdao Normal College to form the new Qingdao University.
