Hezhe nationality's fish skin clothing has a long history. In the ninth volume of Shan Hai Jing Overseas East longitude, it is recorded that "the country of mysterious stocks is in the north of Heichi, eating gulls for the people". Guo Pu, a scholar in the Western Jin Dynasty, explained that "clothes are made of fish skin." It shows that the ancestors of Hezhe nationality used fish skin to make clothes more than two thousand years ago. According to the harpoon and bone needle unearthed from the Neolithic site in Liu Xin, Mishan, it is proved that Hezhe ancestors have been fishing and sewing fish skin coats for thousands of years.

Fish skin clothing can be roughly divided into fish skin robes, fish skin shirts, fish skin pants, fish skin shoes, fish skin aprons, fish skin hats and so on. Men's fish skin coats are double-breasted and women's are big-breasted. Hezhe people call women's fishskin robes "Bird Tiku". The overall shape is similar to cheongsam, with no stand-up collar at the neckline, right crotch, perfect body, no waist in the middle, longer than the knee, slightly wider hem, straight cuffs and slightly narrower cuffs.

In decoration, the neckline, cuffs, skirt and hem of the fishskin robe are decorated with colors, both monochrome and patterned. The front body is monochrome, without too many patterns, and the back body is rich in patterns and symmetrical, all of which take curly moire as the basic pattern element.

From the modeling point of view, the men's fishskin coat is up to the hips, and the overall shape of the dress is straight up and down, with stand-up collar, right lapel and double lapel, and the cuffs are slightly narrowed. From the decoration point of view, neckline, cuffs, skirt and hem are decorated with monochrome and moire patterns. Because of the different types of fish to make clothes, the overall texture of clothes is different. Stand-up collar, right lapel, fishskin rope buckle ring. The cuffs, neckline, skirt and hem of the clothes are decorated with "S" patterns.
