A Brief History of Changzhi People's Hospital Development
Changzhi People's Hospital was built in 1946. Its predecessor was Hong En Hospital, which was a missionary hospital founded by missionaries from Britain, America, Germany and other countries during Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty. It is the earliest place in Changzhi where western medicine was used to diagnose and treat diseases. Obstetrics and gynecology is her traditional dominant subject. Zhao Xuefang, the first Bethune Medal winner in China and a good doctor of the people, was once called Xuefang Hospital.
