The Department of Dermatology of the Second People's Hospital of Wuxi was established in 1998, which is the earliest dermatology in Wuxi. At present, it has become a municipal key medical department integrating clinical teaching and scientific research. The comprehensive strength ranks first in the city and enjoys a high reputation in the whole province. The number of outpatient and emergency departments has always ranked first in general hospitals in Jiangsu Province, reaching more than 10,000 people every year. Dermatology is composed of general outpatient service, STD outpatient service, specialist outpatient service, outpatient service and specialist ward, and there is a skin treatment room. Six professional laboratories (dermatopathology laboratory, dermatomycosis laboratory, venereal disease laboratory, dermatomolecular genetics laboratory, dermatoimmunology laboratory and allergy laboratory) have more than 10,000 yuan of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
The department has a variety of advanced and complete treatment methods, such as cryotherapy, CO laser chemotherapy, electrostatic therapy, steam therapy, hydrotherapy, ultraviolet therapy, vitiligo epidermis transplantation, microcrystalline grinding, scar multi-wavelength Q-switched Nd-YAG laser treatment technology, semiconductor laser hair removal technology and so on.
