The development of casting equipment was relatively late. It was not until the 1930s of 19 that the first truly reliable vibration molding machine appeared in the market. 1848, the United States began to adopt centrifugal casting machines. It was not until the 1980s that 19 commercial molding machines became more common.
Among casting equipment, molding core-making equipment has developed most rapidly, and has developed from single machine automation to the automation of the whole production line, including the automation of pouring, sand dropping and sand treatment system. The factors that promote the development of casting equipment, first of all, are to improve the quality and production efficiency of castings, such as vacuum treatment equipment and modern molding core-making machine. Secondly, some new processes need corresponding equipment, such as high pressure molding, chemical self-hardening sand, refining outside the furnace, etc.
The development trend of casting equipment is that the degree of automation is getting higher and higher, and computers are used for automatic control and adjustment. In order to adapt to the production of multi-variety and small batch castings, the flexibility of casting equipment has gradually increased, such as changing the template of molding machine quickly, changing the size of sand box and adjusting the amount of sand added. Those with high noise, such as impact molding machines and vibrating sand mixers, and those with secondary pollution, such as hydraulic sand cleaning equipment, will be eliminated or restricted.
