What is the working principle of the drill?
Punching machine is also called EDM punching machine, punching machine, punching machine and fine hole discharger. Its working principle is to use a thin metal copper tube (called electrode wire) moving vertically and continuously as an electrode to carry out pulse spark discharge to remove metal from the workpiece and shape it. Different from WEDM and molding machine, its electrode is a hollow copper rod, and the medium passes through the fine hole in the middle of the copper rod hole to cool and discharge chips. The discharge between the electrode and the metal causes the metal to corrode at high temperature to achieve the purpose of perforation, which is used to process the fine holes of superhard steel, cemented carbide, copper, aluminum and any conductive substance.

Punching machines can be roughly divided into two types according to the different media used. One is a liquid punch. Because the liquid processing needs to pass through the copper rod hole, which may block the copper rod hole, the minimum fine hole of 0.2mm can be processed! The depth can only be 20 mm, which is widely used. The other is a gas perforator. The medium through which the copper bar holes pass is gas, which is not easy to be blocked and can be used to process more precise holes.

The maintenance of EDM piercer should not only clean the water and workpiece residue on the piercer workbench after each use, but also clean the dust inside the electrical box frequently, such as the dust on the power resistor, the dust on the discharge bridge pile, especially the dust on the printed circuit board, which is beneficial to the heat dissipation effect of electrical components. If the dust on the printed circuit board is not removed for a long time, it is easy to absorb moisture and corrosive things in the air, corrode the tiny conductive copper skin and cause machine tools.
