How does brass zippo shine?
The method of polishing tool disc includes cleaning preparation, preliminary polishing, disc playing process and so on.

1, cleaning preparation: the newly bought brass Zippo needs to be cleaned first, and the protective wax or other coatings should be removed when leaving the factory. Wipe the surface with a mild detergent and a soft cloth, and then dry it with a clean cloth to ensure that there is no residue on the surface.

2. Preliminary grinding: gently grind the surface with fine sandpaper (No.600-No.800) to remove rough places, but be careful not to over-grind, so as not to destroy the original patterns or details. After polishing, wipe it with a soft cloth again until it is bright.

3, the process of playing: it is best to keep your hands clean when playing, gently and repeatedly play with the lighter with a slightly wet palm (slightly sweating, not sweating a lot), so that the sweat and grease on your hands gradually penetrate into the brass surface. Don't push too hard, avoid leaving obvious scratches, and don't let the surface be contaminated with too many stains.

When the brass surface begins to become sticky or discolored, it needs patience and time to stop playing and let it dry naturally for a period of time (usually one or several days). By playing with it repeatedly, a natural oxide film will gradually form on the brass surface, which is called "patina".
