I. Cultivation techniques and planting
It can be done in both spring and autumn. Generally, it is mainly planted in the ground for viewing. You should choose a place with plenty of sunshine and good ventilation, and the survival rate of digging a pit and dipping it in slurry is higher. In a cool environment, it will grow badly.
1, maintenance
Light and temperature: can overwinter in the wild. It grows well under the conditions of abundant sunshine and temperature of 20-25℃. When the temperature is below -25℃ in winter, freezing injury will occur and even lead to death.
Water fertilization
Apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting, generally apply decomposed manure, dig deep into tree holes, apply 2-3 times phosphorus and potassium fertilizer (potassium dihydrogen phosphate) at flowering stage, and apply 1 times wintering fertilizer at the end of autumn. It is best to use decomposed manure or manure, stop fertilization in winter and reduce the amount of watering.
2, plastic pruning
Spring is better. In early spring, dry and dead branches, over-dense branches, weak branches and aging branches are cut off before germination, so that plants are beautiful in appearance, full of flowers and vigorous in growth.
Second, the propagation mode of Spiraea mume
1, sowing and breeding
Seeds generally begin to blossom and bear fruit in 2-3 days, and can bear fruit normally after 4 days. Seeds have no obvious dormancy habit. Soak the seeds in warm water (30℃) for 1 day and night, take them out, put them in a Petri dish with wet filter paper, and germinate indoors at 18-20℃ for 8- 10 days, about 10 days, and the germination rate is 80%-95%. When the seeds are dry in early summer, they can be sown immediately after harvest, potted or planted outdoors. South China can germinate quickly after sowing in autumn and overwinter with seedlings. Beijing can sow in early April and Nanjing can sow in early March. After sowing, cover the soil by 0.5- 1.0 cm, and cover it with plastic film to preserve moisture. It can be unearthed in 7- 10 day, and primary leaves will grow after 7 days. The height of the seedlings in that year can reach 30-45 cm. Once transplanted, it can be planted, and it can bloom in about 3 years.
Germination is accelerated by wet sand for 3-5 days, and the sowing amount is 1.50-2.25 kg/m2. After sowing, the seedling yield can reach 150-225 plants /m2 by covering soil with 4 mm for shading. Planting Spiraea under the mother tree to create moderate shade is beneficial to seed germination and early seedling growth, and can improve the emergence rate and seedling rate.
2. Cutting
Hard cuttings can be used in spring and soft cuttings can be used in summer. Cut off 1-2 natural cuttings with branch shears, with the length of 10- 15cm, soak them in natural BT rooting powder 1 day and night, shade them with a sunshade net, and spray them to keep the seedbed moist. The survival rate is above 95%. Guo summarized the cutting seedling raising technology of Spiraea farinosa. The cuttings were soaked in 50- 100 mg/kg NAA for 12-24 hours, and a sunshade net was set up after the cuttings (the light transmittance was 50%), and the survival rate was over 90%. Spiraea has strong germination ability, and can also be propagated by dividing plants, and the annual 10 ~ 12 division propagation is better.
