Cutting double eyelids is a minor operation. Generally, the swelling will subside in about 3-5 days, and hospitalization is not required. You can go home when you are finished, and you can rest at home for a few days when you have time.

There may be ecchymosis around the eyes in the early postoperative period, and some cases may be blue. In general, the swelling is obvious within 2 ~ 3 days, disappears after 5 ~ 6 days, and the ecchymosis gradually turns pale yellow. Cold compress can be used within 24 hours after operation, and hot compress can be changed after suture removal to promote the swelling to subside. After 1 month, the double eyelids are basically natural, and it will take 1~3 months for them to recover completely. Under normal circumstances, you don't need to be hospitalized when you cut your double eyelids. You can go home after you finish, and it won't affect your work and study.
