Since the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the story of Yong Dong selling his body to bury his father has touched generations.
Historically, Yong Dong's filial piety occurred in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. History: "Dong Yongsheng was born in Qingzhou Gancheng (now Boxing, Shandong). At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he fled the war and served his father in Danyang, Jingzhou, Hubei. More than 200 years later, during the Liu and Song Dynasties in the Southern Dynasties, due to Yong Dong's filial piety, Danyang was renamed' Xiaochang'. "
Why is it named Xiaochang? It is said that Song Wendi Liu Yilong was killed by his eldest son, Liu Shao, and his third son, Liu Jun, made a crusade in Xiyang (Huanggang and Xishui). After a bad start, he retreated to Danyang. One day, an old man advised him to put up a banner of "filial piety", put on Dai Xiao's clothes for the whole army, and published an obituary to the whole country, asking him to avenge his father and do his filial piety. Then he drifted away. Liu Jun accepted his words and turned defeat into victory. After he acceded to the throne, he hung up the list and looked for suggestions and opinions for the elderly. But he got a Tibetan poem: filial piety is the first of all virtues, and the son hates the father. He knows what it means, and it will last forever. Wu Fang realized that the old man was a dutiful son, Yong Dong, and changed his name to Yong Dong Xiaochang filial place to help Xie Xiaozi.
Although this is only a legend, he is pinning a good wish of the working people. The book "The Origin of Yong Dong Story" written by Mr. Song, published by China Geo University Press, confirmed this historical fact with full and accurate data: after becoming emperor, all his 28 sons were ranked according to filial piety. In order to make filial piety, which is the basis of all virtues, prevail in the society, in the first year of Xiao Jian, Anlu, the eastern part where several legendary great dutiful sons are located, was designated as Xiaochang County. About 470 years later, it was renamed Xiaogan because of taboo.
From this point of view, both the legend of the Seven Fairys and the historical facts of Liu Jun, the word "filial piety" contains profound meaning, and the word "filial piety" is inseparable from Dong Yong. Xiaogan, Hubei Province is also the only city named after filial piety in China.
Xiaogan is the hometown of Yong Dong, with many sites, which are concentrated in two places: Xiaogan City and Chen Mao Town, Xiaonan District, where Yong Dong once lived for a long time.
Lisi Bridge is located on the Gunzi River in the northeast of Xiaogan. In the Qing Dynasty, Zhi Bridge in Xiaogan County of Guangxu recorded: "Li Si Bridge was named after Yong Dong met the Weaver Girl. The track of Peng Zhi in Wanli County of Ming Dynasty was rebuilt. "
Fu outside the north gate of Xiaogan City (now downtown) is said to be a foreigner from whom Mr. Fu borrowed money.
The hometown monument outside the north gate of Xiaogan City is made of bluestone. The monument is two meters high, and the inscription reads "Hometown of Yong Dong, the dutiful son of Han Dynasty".
Dong Mausoleum, east of Xiaogan Town and north of Laowu Township, has two tombs standing side by side. On the left is the Tomb of Dong Gongyong, a dutiful son of Han Dynasty, and on the right is the Tomb of Dong Gongyong, a dutiful son of Han Dynasty. Both tombs have stone tablets, which were erected in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the eight existing ancient scenes in Xiaogan.
Xiaogan Temple: The "Xiaogan Donggongyong Temple" with the statue of Yong Dong stands in the east gate of Xiaogan Chengguan, and the statue of Yong Dong stands in the main hall of the original temple. According to county records, Yong Dong Temple, the filial son, was first built in the north gate of Chengguan, and moved to the east side of the Confucian Temple in the Ming Dynasty, where Zhang Bian, a loyal minister in the Tang Dynasty, was enshrined and renamed "Xiaozi Temple". In the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt at the northwest gate of Wenchang Hall, and a plaque was erected as "the filial son Dong Gongyong Temple".
In Xiaogan, modern streets and buildings named after Yong Dong can be seen everywhere.
Yong Dong Park, built in 1984, reproduces the story of Yong Dong and other ancient China filial piety with beautiful garden art, attracting nearly 2 million Chinese and foreign tourists. A plaque of "Yong Dong's Hometown" was erected at the entrance of Xiaogan City, Huaiyin Square was built, and sculptures of "Going Home from Work" and "Fairy Couple" were erected at Xinyue and Railway Station. Xiaogan also has Huaiyin Avenue, Lisi Community, Lisi Road and Xiannv Road.
It can be said that Xiaogan is famous for Yong Dong, and Yong Dong endowed Xiaogan with rich cultural characteristics of filial piety. In the "Twenty-four Filial Piety" wax museum displayed in Yong Dong Park, the stories of three dutiful sons all came from Xiaogan: Yong Dong who sold herself to bury her father in the Western Han Dynasty, Huang Xiang who warmed herself with a fan pillow in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Meng Zong who cried for bamboo shoots in the Three Kingdoms.
"Filial piety comes first" is a fine tradition of the ancient people in China. Confucian culture, represented by Confucius and Mencius, believes that "filial piety is also a human Jan Benzien!" Regard filial piety as the foundation of establishing people; Think: "what's the big deal, what is the kiss ... what is the kiss, everything is the foundation." Filial piety comes first.
Some experts believe that filial piety is the Chinese nation's "folk prescription" to solve the problem of world aging, which has practical significance to solve the shortcomings in family ethics. Today, when the construction of spiritual civilization is emphasized, it is of positive significance to interpret "filial piety culture" with modern ideas for forming a healthy social atmosphere.
