High-energy warning (a large number of pictures): acne can be divided into non-inflammatory injuries (blackheads and bald heads) and inflammatory injuries (inflammatory papules, pustules, nodules and cysts). Blackhead acne is because the funnel of hair follicle is completely blocked. Keratin and sebum are both in sebaceous glands of hair follicles, and their openings communicate with the outside world, forming open acne. The surface looks like a big hair follicle with a black keratinized plug in the mouth.

Whitehead acne is due to the fact that the funnel of hair follicle is blocked by keratinocytes, and keratin and sebum are filled in it, while the top is covered by epidermis, which is not connected with the outside world and becomes a closed acne, which looks a little high.

Papules are the most basic damage of acne. When the infundibulum of hair follicle is occluded, an anoxic environment is formed in sebaceous glands of hair follicle. Propionibacterium anaerobic acne proliferates, decomposes sebum, produces inflammatory reaction and produces inflammatory papules.

Pustules are the further development and aggravation of inflammatory papules.

Nodules are solid lesions (diameter 0.5- 1cm) higher than the skin surface, which are deeper and larger than papules and pustules. It is generally dark red or purplish red, with obvious flushing, infiltration and tenderness at the base.

Cyst is due to the accumulation of a large number of pus cells, including pus, bacterial residue, sebum and keratin, and the infiltration of inflammation in the sebaceous gland structure of hair follicle, which completely destroys the sebaceous gland structure of hair follicle. But it doesn't form a cyst wall and feels like a cyst. Most of the time, there is a sense of fluctuation, and pus may flow out when squeezing.
