Sculpture park, understood from the proposition, is a place to show sculptures. Through the environment, on the one hand, sculpture can bring people sensory enjoyment, on the other hand, it forms the interaction between people and sculpture. As a city park, it has to face a series of human environmental problems in this era, on the one hand, ecological problems, on the other hand, human problems. Therefore, art, ecology and humanity are three basic propositions that need to be solved in this project. We understand design as a process of expressing and balancing the relationship between them.

The three have different starting points. From an ecological point of view, what nature knows is the best, with the least use of resources and the least human intervention, and the use of nature to do work, which is the starting point of ecology. From the perspective of human nature, people always try to get more sensory experience and convenience in a specific environment, so they are more inclined to participate manually; From the artistic point of view, the expression of art comes from the organization of language, and both complex and minimalist artistic languages can produce beauty, which stems from the integrity and integrity of their languages. From the ecological point of view, art tends to be a simple art form, while from the human point of view, the requirement for art is beauty, regardless of complexity and simplicity.

To handle the relationship between the three, we must first treat them differently. For example, artificial places often involve less overall structure, that is, to minimize the space on the plane, while the complexity and simplicity of the place itself are related to humanization and artistic expression. In a given space, enriching people's experience is the direction of design, and artistic expression is mainly related to form.

This scheme solves this problem by controlling the rhythm. Through composition, layout of key experience points, and then connecting different points with lines to achieve continuity and integrity. At the same time, give full play to the role of point, point is place, enrich the space of established place, and make it bring people rich experience.

The overall layout of this project includes central park and L-shaped strip park. In the central area of the park, six "Lantern" theme venues are strung together by a winding path and covered bridge. A curve with six points solves the participation and artistic expression of Central Park. The curved bridge adopts minimalism, starting with the most basic structure, which meets the safety requirements; However, the design of dotted lanterns is often rich to increase the charm of experience, and the shape and light of lanterns are used as the media of artistic expression. The L-shaped strip park also adopts the dialogue of point, line and plane. Because it is close to the beach, the place has been strengthened and combined with participatory sculpture to become an active public space.

Ecology, humanities and art rub against each other, compromise with each other and finally penetrate each other. At the same time, we can't achieve ecological fundamentalism and do everything from the perspective of human nature, regardless of ecology and sustainability. The expression of art must give consideration to both and wander between complexity and simplicity.

And what is the same direction of the three? What did the design finally create? Has the ultimate creation of design been endowed with eternity in history? Or the change of sustainable development environment?

Do we create a space that follows the principle of "what nature knows is the best", allows nature to do work and fully gives it room for change, or become an eternal subject of expression? This problem should also be treated in a discriminatory way. We understand its ultimate problem as a material problem, which is also a resource problem in a broad sense. Looking back on the creation of large space and the remains of civilization in human history, most of them conform to Vitruwe's three principles of "firmness, applicability and beauty", and people are pursuing permanent architecture and earth landscape.

Contemporary landscape, or the great change of modern landscape relative to traditional landscape, is the variability, permanence, firmness and durability of modern landscape, which is not the core of design. This stems from the convenience of obtaining new materials and the improvement of construction technology, and the material characteristics of the original strength are abandoned or covered up. In this project, the originality of materials is the core of expression. Try to reduce the processing links of materials and use local or adjacent materials. For plants, maintaining the natural growth state of plants is the core of design, that is, low maintenance, so "the beauty of weeds" is one of the orientations, but more is to use secondary forests to grow freely, with strong self-selectivity. The contrast between raw materials and free-growing plants exists in many places, such as the contrast between stone arrays and weeds in the entrance square, the contrast between native perennial plants and rusty steel flower ponds in the undergrowth square, the contrast between fair-faced concrete and miscellaneous shrubs, etc., all of which reflect the expression of primitive wildness and vitality.
