With her work as a member of the International Olympic Committee and her experience as a British representative in the Olympic Games and other international equestrian events, Princess Anne will hold talks with representatives of the Chinese Olympic Committee, and then she will discuss cooperation with upcoming events including the 2022 Winter Olympics. She will also meet top skaters from China and elite athletes from China, who will take part in the IAAF World Championships in London next month.
Anne's visit to China will witness the signing of equestrian training agreements between Chinese and British universities, strengthen the ties between universities of the two countries, and enhance the research on the protection of endangered species such as Yangtze finless porpoise and elk. Anne will also meet with scholars and students from China and Britain in Wuhan, and they will show the growing bilateral educational ties between China and Britain.
Besides, Anne will also participate in the birthday celebrations of the Queen of England in Beijing and Changsha, including the launching activities of "Hunan British Week" and "Smart Youth". These activities will highlight Britain's achievements in sports, health, education, tourism, scientific innovation, culture and creativity.
