How did the wood of plant bonsai come from?
The material of trees is very important for making bonsai of pile landscape plants. Yesterday, there was an article telling you what kind of wood is a good material for bonsai. Today, I will tell you the details and specific ways to get it.

Usually, there are four ways to obtain excellent old piles: self-cultivation, transformation, excavation and purchase.

First, raise seedlings by yourself.

It is meaningful to cultivate the seedlings you want by your own novices, and it is more likely to conform to your own ideas. There are three ways to cultivate.

1, layering seedling.

Ordinary layering, cut off appropriate parts, press them into the soil, and separate them to form independent new plants after rooting.

Horizontal layering: burying the branches in the soil, leaving one side of the branchlets outside, and reducing the number of segments after rooting to form multiple new plants.

Layering the high branches, peeling the high branches, covering with moss, covering with plastic film, adding soil, tying the upper mouth tightly, and cutting and planting the high branches after taking root.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

Sowing is used to propagate seedlings. Don't underestimate the seedlings. Small saplings will be used to make miniature bonsai or rock bonsai. If several seedlings are connected together, they can also become thick stems, which is more in line with the requirements of pile landscape.

3. Cutting seedling

People with plenty of meat must know this method very well, and so do trees. Under certain conditions, some vegetative organs of plants will grow new plants. Usually, we mainly use hardwood cutting and softwood cutting.

Hardwood cutting: Cutting with branches that have been lignified for more than one year, preferably picking in spring and transplanting in spring. Take buds with a length of 10CM to 20CM, at least two internodes, and insert them into the soil for 2-4CM.

Softwood cutting, using semi-lignified annual branches with leaves, this method is mainly aimed at tree species that are not easy to take root, cutting from new and old branches, with a length of about 5 ~ 10cm and more than 2 internodes with 1-2 leaves, and inserting them into the soil after cutting.

Second, transform the existing seedlings.

1. Truncation and compression, as well as head changes on the side.

This method can be used for all available trees with lateral branches, and the tree body can be shortened immediately and the trunk can be thinned from thick to thin.

2. Cut off the sprouted branches, graft and replant.

This method is most commonly used to make fruit tree bonsai. As long as it is easy to germinate, it can be cut off and let it sprout and break branches.

3. Cut off the dry and keep the semi-dry.

The advantage of this method is that it does not destroy the root system, and it can make a dry pile landscape with strong artistic conception by shaping semi-dry and new branches.

Third, excavate natural tree materials.

It depends on your local environment. There will be short and thick stumps in places that are often cut down or where the land is barren, which can be directly dug out for use. Pay attention to the length of the roots left behind, which is about five times that of the dry roots, and also consider the transportation time and other issues. Don't bring it back to die ~

Fourth, spend money to buy at the flower market.

This is the simplest, the money is easy to handle, and many old stumps dug back by many people are in good shape. You can choose the appearance of something, as long as you pay attention to the old stumps with developed roots, plump branches and fresh leaves, which are easy to feed in short.

Well, you have learned four acquisition methods. How do you usually get the wood used in plant bonsai? Welcome everyone to leave a message in the comment area and learn from each other!
