He has served as a member and standing committee member of Plastic Burn Society of Chinese Medical Association, vice chairman of Shaanxi Plastic Burn Society of Chinese Medical Association and standing committee member of Chinese Burn Surgery Society. 1996 participated in the establishment of China Trauma Surgery Tissue Repair Group and served as the deputy head. He is a member of the European Wound Healing Association and the International Burn Association. He used to be an expert in the evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation and an expert in the medical and health evaluation of the whole army.

Chen Bi has been engaged in the clinical work of burn plastic surgery for a long time, guiding and participating in the rescue of thousands of critically ill burn patients. He has visited 18 cities and regions in China, rescued hundreds of burn patients, participated in and guided more than 30 scientific research projects, published more than 320 papers, and participated in the preparation of 28 monographs. 34 graduate students were trained, including 9 master students/kloc-0 and 5 doctoral students/kloc-0. He was invited to Japan, the United States, Britain and Italy, Denmark and Germany for academic exchanges.

Won the first prize of military medical achievements 1 item, the third prize of national scientific and technological progress 1 item, the second prize of Shaanxi scientific and technological progress 1 item, three second prizes and three third prizes of military scientific and technological progress. Participated in the 1960 National English Model Conference, and was successively rated as a model of medical ethics and an excellent doctoral tutor of the General Logistics Department. Won second-class merit 1 time and third-class merit twice.
