Nanchang Ocean Park is located in Dongruiai Xihu Scenic Area, beijing east road, Nanchang City, only 4.5 kilometers away from Bayi Square. It was completed and opened to traffic on June 26th, 2003, with a total investment of 1 100 million yuan. It is a large-scale comprehensive park with the theme of marine culture and integrating tourism, leisure and popular science. Its main part, the Marine Aquarium, covers an area of 40 mu, with a building area of 1.2 million square meters, a total water body of more than 5,000 tons, a tunnel length of 74 meters, more than 800 species of creatures and more than 20,000 animals (tails). It is currently one of the largest aquariums in China.
More than 30 large-scale performances, such as "Dancing with Sharks", "Seal Show" and "Ten Thousand Fish Competing for Food", are held around the clock in the park.
