Changsha. Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, was called Tanzhou in ancient times, also known as Xingcheng. It is located in the northeast of Hunan Province, the lower reaches of Xiangjiang River and the western edge of Xiangliu Basin. It is an important central city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, an experimental zone for comprehensive reform of "two-oriented society" in China, an important industrial and commercial city in central and southern China, and an important grain production base, energy and raw material base, equipment manufacturing base and comprehensive transportation hub in China.
