Buddha said life has eight kinds of sufferings. Do you know which one?
Buddha said that life has eight great pains. Which eight are they? The bitterness of life, the bitterness of old age, the bitterness of illness, the bitterness of death, the bitterness of love for parting, the bitterness of self-seeking, and the bitterness of the five elements.

It should be said that human beings are small, which is not an arbitrary statement, because many textbooks say so. This is not a negative statement, because the hardship of life is a fact that each of us has experienced, is experiencing and will experience. Suffering or we have forgotten, we always forget. But this is not difficult to understand, and you can agree with it by looking at the situation of newborns. Old bitterness, or we are not old enough to experience it, but many people are experiencing it. I remember a folk drum, which said it was difficult to get old.

"Old to difficult, old to difficult, so bitter, so difficult, listen to me from the beginning. Deafness is difficult to talk to people, and the difference is annoying. Birds are blindfolded, like swimming, and their noses and tears are often wiped away. People can't see clearly in front of them, and often regard Li Si as Zhang San. Young man, laugh at us and call me confused and sour. Friends and relatives, old and young, are annoyed, and children, grandchildren and daughters-in-law are disrespectful. My teeth are gone again, my mouth is watering, and hard things are hard to chew and swallow. If you bite badly, you will choke and get stuck in your throat for a long time. Really uncomfortable, color change, life and death are in sight. Children and grandchildren don't give tea, but keep saying that old people are greedy. A runny nose, such as pus, often flows to the chest. Everyone is tired of a small rice bowl, and everyone is tired to accompany the guests to the table. Less hair, cold head, sour head and cool wind, often wearing a hat when sleeping in cold weather, being pulled over is afraid of pneumatic drills. Sleeping sideways, turning over is difficult, and the whole body hurts, which is terrible. I hope I can't sleep. I pee seven or eight times a night. Afraid of long nights, cold, and often troubled by wind diseases. Old people with lung deficiency often cough and spit it out in one mouthful. Kids, they hate us and call me sloppy. How many years do you want to live if you are old enough to die? Foot numbness and leg pain. It's really hard to move, sit and lie down. Walking on the kang is like climbing Mount Tai. Heartless, no memory, often admitted to the third year of high school. I forget it when I think about it. It's annoying. Old age is endless, and the benevolent gentleman is cautious. "

In fact, we don't have to delve into the details of old age. Just look at our ancestors and we will understand that life can't be pure and young, and the sun and the moon fly, and people are old. Everyone has the difficulty of getting old. At first, I just thought others were old. Now it's my turn, and one day it will come, which is everyone's inevitable. . .

Death is a terrible thing. So, we'd rather not talk about death. Or maybe we really don't have the wisdom to design a death problem that won't take long. However, not facing up to the problem does not mean that it does not exist. An ostrich with its head buried in the sand and its ass exposed is not without danger. You can only deceive yourself. The spirit of science has always been to face up to contradictions and solve them. Death is really a terrible thing. We don't know where we come from or where we will die. In the face of all this, we will lose everything, our bodies will be destroyed, our gods will be scattered, and we can't know and design the future. Which one is not afraid? How many people died peacefully and how many people died simply? Which one didn't catch and catch and finally died?

About the bitterness of life, life is bitter, death is bitter, always bitter, but living is not necessarily not bitter. How many people are suffering from illness, and how many people are facing unhappiness? Endure the hardships of hard labor, endure the inner torment, want more, be annoyed like an arrow, like, leave us, want more, don't want, don't want to face, follow us.

Is it too negative? No, by no means, this is objective, and negativity should not be. Is there anything to be happy about in life? But in the face of such hardships, I am as happy as a dream.

Some people say that I can live like this and face everything with peace of mind. The question is, do you know everything? Is it relieved and calm? If not, then, this is a shallow passivity, a stupid self-protection, and can't be regarded as an unrealistic evaluation.

Facing life, everyone should be positive, actively safeguard truth, goodness and beauty, and actively seek truth and freedom.

What is disappearing? If you don't blindly follow the fall, you will leave. What is bodhicitta? Actively safeguarding truth, goodness and beauty and persistently pursuing truth are bodhicitta.

The Buddha said that those who are happy are bitter, and those who are bitter are unable to get rid of it. We are all happy, which one is happy? For example, it is clear that such examples are not difficult to find, and they are everywhere. There is a lyric that is very interesting. "I know I miss home, but I'm worried about you. After careful consideration, I'd rather bear the pain. . . "It is bitter, but there is joy in it. Persist in suffering. Today, in order to love beauty, many people are willing to follow the pain of plastic surgery. In fact, in order to have a good house and a good car, they are willing to be worked like cattle and horses. This is also a fact. All the noise in the world is for profit, and all the noise in the world is for profit. People like to drink. At first, wine is bitter and spicy, and then it becomes secret. I like to drink it because I crave this feeling. Good intentions don't pay off. If I stop you, you are anxious with me. Everyone has the right to be willing, but it has nothing to do with wisdom. . .

A Buddhist is not a good Buddhist if he is not deviant and only seeks more benefits, longevity and blessings. But the Bodhisattva is a good bodhisattva, sincere in doing good and accumulating virtue, and ready to help others, but this has little to do with Bodhisattva. There are not many reasons. A true Buddhist is a wise and sober awakened person, a persistent seeker of Tao and a practitioner. He is not greedy, selfless and fearless, and devoted himself to Bodhi's perfect practice. Such people, born great, die calm, will eventually achieve. To sum up, it is three words, namely, awareness, correctness and cleanliness.
