Doumen District of Zhuhai is not a rural area. Doumen District of Zhuhai City is located at the southwest end of the Pearl River Delta (about the intersection of east longitude 1 13 and north latitude 22.5), bordering Zhongshan City in the east, Jinwan District of Zhuhai City in the south and Jiangmen City in the west and north. There are eight passes at the mouth of the Pearl River, including Modao, Niwan, Tiger Jumping, Cockcrow and Yamen, forming Doumen, a vast and fertile plain oasis.

Doumen County was established with the approval of the State Council in 1965, and was placed under the jurisdiction of Zhuhai City in 1983. In April, 200 1 year, the county was set up. The whole region covers an area of 674.8 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 450,000, of which the registered population is 310.6 million. The whole region has jurisdiction over 5 towns and 100 administrative villages. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China, with 1.56 million overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Doumen District is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, Zhuhai Airport, Zhuhai Port and Guangzhou-Zhuhai Light Rail. The coastal expressway in western Guangdong has been completed and opened to traffic, and the expressway in Zhu Jiang is about to open. Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will be completed soon. Doumen Port is a national first-class port with direct flights to Hong Kong, Macao and coastal areas, convenient transportation and superior investment environment.

At present, Flextronics Group, Sumitomo Chemical, Tsingtao Brewery, Gree Group, Founder Technology and other well-known domestic enterprises have successively settled in Doumen District. Business and real estate are prosperous, and it is the commercial and residential center of Zhuhai West District.
