Can you apply a hot water bag to the wound for a long time after the operation?
Hello, I'm a surgeon. I'm happy to answer your question.

There is no hot compress in postoperative incision nursing. Hot compress is suitable for all kinds of soft tissue injuries, such as tendon strain, skin crush injury, subcutaneous congestion, muscle strain and so on. And it is not suitable for surgical incision without suture. Because this kind of incision itself has inflammatory reaction, it is the necessary process of any trauma. Long-term hot compress is not conducive to the dissipation of inflammatory reaction and the recovery of incision, but may cause various wound complications such as bleeding, incision dehiscence and fat liquefaction.

I hope it helps you.
