How to adjust the blade clearance of mountain bike oil pan? 5 points
The tools used are as follows: two large and sturdy screwdrivers, a hammer, a 3.5mm hexagon socket, a 5mm hexagon socket, an Avid E 1 original belt clamp, a small needle-nosed pliers, a 75 cm high hard seat stool and a card removal tool.

The steps are as follows:

1. Remove the brake caliper from the vehicle with a 5 mm hexagon socket. From now on, don't pinch the brake handle again, or oil leakage will be in big trouble.

2. Use needle-nosed pliers to flatten the tail of the positioning pin of the ordering part, then pull it out and remove the old ordering part.

3. Loosen the socket head cap screw of the contact point on the adjustment handle for several turns with the 3.5mm socket head cap screw. This step is very important, otherwise the piston can't be pushed back completely even with great strength, and even if it is pushed back reluctantly, the piston will rebound a little.

4. Pick up two screwdrivers and insert them between the two pistons. If one is inserted on the left side of the piston and the other is inserted on the right side of the piston. Anyway, it is in the diagonal position of the piston. Then one screwdriver rotates clockwise, and the other rotates counterclockwise (instead of rotating along the running direction of the disc, it can be regarded as taking the diameter direction of the disc as the rotation axis). Because the blade width of the screwdriver blade is larger than the diameter of the arbor, it is easy to disperse the piston evenly to both sides through this rotation. There are two reasons why two screwdrivers are used: first, the middle of the piston is sunken, and the screwdriver will have headspace; Second, if there is only one screwdriver, you have to use the other hand to resist the rotating torque, which wastes half your strength and is not easy to operate when installing.

5. After repeated jacking several times, the two pistons will be pushed back, but basically they will not be pushed to the position flush with the clamp body. At this time, take out the screwdriver, install the basically worn band without installing the spring band, then loosen the 3.5 socket head cap screw on the handle for several turns, forcibly insert the flying knife between the two bands from the direction that the disc usually enters the caliper body, and then press down the inner sides of the bands one by one from the hole above the caliper (the flying knife is flat, which can leave this space), and continue to push the pistons one by one as before.

6. Now the piston is almost flat, but in fact it is not enough. Similarly, loosen the screw on the handle for two or three turns.

7. Remove the 5-purpose ordered parts, install the ordered parts, and leave some friction plates. This time, insert the metal plate about 2 mm thick as mentioned just now, and then continue to pry it with two screwdrivers like 5.

8. Now that the piston is close to the top level, you can install a new guide plate and limit pin. However, if you put the calipers in the car and look carefully, you will find that the gap is relatively small and it is easy to rub the dishes. At this point, you can twist the socket head cap screw on the handle several times, and then try to insert the clip of Avid E 1 into the seat plate. Because the gap is very small, it will be difficult to plug it. I turned the caliper body upside down and put it on the stool, so that the protrusion on which the limit pin was installed pushed against the chair surface, and then I knocked the tail of the seat plate clip with a hammer and knocked the clip into the seat plate.

9. Squeeze the brake handle at this time. Of course it will be tight. It's okay. Squeeze a few times With the increase of pinching times, you will feel that the distance between brake pads gradually increases and the clips gradually loosen. Finally, you can easily take out and put back the brake pads.

10. Now, put the calipers back in the car. The installation and positioning of the oil pan caliper is much simpler than that of the wire pan: the fixing screw is looser. Move the caliper body left and right several times with your hand, then swing it left and right twice, then swing it back and forth twice, gently hold it down, slowly hold the handle, and then alternately and gradually lock the fixing screw of the caliper with your other hand.
