Freckles are generally difficult to remove. I have never heard of the treatment you mentioned, but I have heard of laser removal, including smearing. But freckles are hereditary on the one hand and related to the inside of the body on the other. If it is not well conditioned, even if you remove it with a laser, it will grow back later.
