Jiangling, also known as Jingzhou, is one of the first historical and cultural cities in China. Now it is the resident of Jingzhou District People's Government in Jingzhou City, located in the south of central Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, in the west of Jianghan Plain, bordering the Yangtze River in the south, connecting Hanshui River in the north, controlling Bashu in the west and Hunan and Guangdong in Nantong, which was called "the thoroughfare of seven provinces" in ancient times.
