Can the Monstera deliciosa leaves be transplanted if they grow teeth?

Monstera deliciosa cannot be transplanted when its leaves have just started to grow. It takes 3 to 4 months before transplantation is possible.

Stem node cuttings can be used in both spring and autumn, with the best results from April to May in spring and September to October in autumn. Therefore, the temperature during this period is suitable for stem node incisions to heal and take root, resulting in fast survival. For cuttings, select current-year side branches with substantial stem tissue and strong growth. The cuttings are 20-25 cm long. Cut off the leaves at the base and retain the leaflets at the upper end. Cut off the long aerial roots and retain the short aerial roots to absorb water and facilitate Hair roots.

The transplanting bed uses a mixed matrix of coarse sand and peat or leaf humus. After transplanting, keep 25-27°C and high air humidity. Roots will not begin until about a month after transplanting. After the cuttings take root, the axillary buds on the stem nodes also begin to sprout and spread leaves. In order to accelerate the growth of the seedlings, keep the room temperature above 10°C and strengthen fertilizer and water management. The seedlings will be ready for commercial use the second day after the cuttings are taken. If you need hanging decoration, you can prepare a wooden frame or iron frame container, fill it with palm bark, put fertile leaf mold soil, and plant the rooted monstera as a hanging pot product.
