What is a punch?
Punch press is a stamping press. The design principle of punching machine is to convert circular motion into linear motion, and the flywheel is driven by the main motor, and the gear, crankshaft (or eccentric gear) and connecting rod are driven by the clutch to realize the linear motion of the slider. The motion from the main motor to the connecting rod is circular.

Stamping production is mainly aimed at sheet metal. Blanking, punching, forming, stretching, trimming, fine punching, shaping, riveting and extruding parts can be made through the die, which is widely used in various fields. For example, we use switch sockets, cups, cabinets, plates, computer cases, and even missile planes ... there are many accessories that can be produced by punching machines through molds.

The main classification of punching machines is 1. Driven by: mechanical and servo punch.

At present, most of the pneumatic punching machines used in the market are mechanical punching machines driven by ordinary motors, including flywheels and clutches. In a single stroke, it is impossible to freely set the running speed of the slider and the residence time at any position for programming control.

Servo punch is driven by servo motor, without flywheel and clutch. It can freely program the running speed of slider and the residence time at any position. The accuracy of bottom dead center is higher than that of mechanical punch (up to 0.0 1mm).

2. From the fuselage: open (C type) and closed (O type)

Generally, the open punch is less than 300T, mostly single-axis (single-point) punch, and the workbench is large, and the overall structure is not as stable as the closed punch, which is easy to open after long-term work, which has a certain impact on the accuracy. For manufacturers with high requirements for product accuracy and stability, especially for presses with a capacity of more than 300T, the press with closed structure is generally selected.

Closed punch press can be divided into integrated punch press and split punch press (three-part punch press) according to the requirements of manufacturers on the strength of worktable and punch press.
