Dalian will take water from Fushun Dahuofang Reservoir from Anshan water intake, and construction is expected to start in 2007. The second phase of the project is the longest water conveyance distance, the largest water conveyance capacity and the most complicated water supply mode in China. The total design period is 42 months, and the estimated investment of the project is 4.906 billion yuan.
The water conveyance tunnel of Dahuofang Reservoir in Liaoning Province is 8m in diameter and 85.3km in continuous length, which is the longest continuous tunnel in the world. Construction began in 2003. This project has the advantages of long tunnel length, large cross-section, long driving distance by single machine, large slope of branch tunnel and bad geology (faults, caves, water gushing, etc.). ). This project adopts tunnel boring machine for construction, and continuous belt conveyor is used for slag discharge. It was completed in 2008 and officially completed in September 2009.
