On August 19, the Department of Language and Character Information Management of the Ministry of Education made the latest interpretation of "adjusting the writing of 44 Chinese characters", which was hotly debated on the Internet recently. According to the interpretation, the main principle of adjusting the writing method of Chinese characters this time is to achieve consistency with the change of Song style, and other major fonts (imitation Song style, bold type and regular script) and non-major fonts will be gradually adjusted in the future. According to reports, this font adjustment has four general principles: respecting the structure of Chinese characters, taking into account the style of Song style, following unified rules and strictly controlling special cases. Under the guidance of the general principles, this adjustment has formulated five types of stroke rules, namely, horizontal change, vertical change, vertical change, vertical change and horizontal change. After the adjustment and beautification of the font, the font is further consistent with the Song Dynasty, making the font more regular and systematic.
The adjustment of 44 Chinese characters announced this time includes the last horizontal change in the left part of the word "Qin", the last stroke change in the lower part of the word "Qin", the vertical hooks in the lower parts of the words "Qin" and "Sha" become vertical hooks, and the words "Lip" and "Hong" are changed from semi-closed structure to up-down structure.
