Hou is the second fifth-class title, which is generally believed to have originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty. But at least in the Shang Dynasty, it was known as "Hou", and there were three fairs in Zhou Wang, namely Xibohou, Jiuhou and Ehou.

Hou E: Minister Shang Zhouwang of Shang Dynasty. Together with Jiuhou and Xibochang, they are called the three great princes of Shang Dynasty. Shang Zhouwang was cruel and heartless, and was killed for daring to speak.
