Cultivation method of rhododendron hedgehog
First, directly cut off the injured roots and some miscellaneous branches of Rhododendron Hericium, so as to prevent the growth of root rot bacteria and affect the root health of the whole plant, and the roots are bound to be injured during excavation, so pruning the roots is very important. Before planting, disinfect the soil with a proper proportion of potassium permanganate.
The soil should be mixed with volcanic rocks and peat soil, and some wetting agents should be added at the same time, and the thickness of the soil layer should be 10 ~ 20cm, so as to achieve the effect of loosening the soil for ventilation and retaining water and fertilizer. Implant it in a pot, pour the fine-grained pot soil into the pot, and finally cover it with a layer of large-grained pot soil, and compact the soil without leaving too many gaps.
Water thoroughly for the first time until water flows from the bottom of the basin. Cover the incision of the downhill pile with a layer of plastic film, spray water once, and keep warm and moist. Just water it in the morning or at night, preferably with rain or river water. Shading management should be done well to avoid the influence of direct sunlight on bud growth.
Some basic fertilizers, such as animal manure, can be applied to the downhill pile of Rhododendron Hericium in the early stage of planting, and acid fertilizer and nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer should be added in the later stage of planting. Pruning should be carried out in hibernation and spring, cutting off dead branches, tender branches and diseased branches, and cultivating thicker branches into new main branches, which is conducive to flowering in the next year.
