Polydactyly in genetics
Polydactyly is the most common hand deformity and a hereditary disease, which may be accompanied by syndactyly, short finger and polydactyly.

Polydactyly is manifested as six-finger deformity, and redundant fingers mostly occur on both sides of the hand, that is, the thumb and the little finger. Thumb is more common, index finger, middle finger and ring finger are less common.

Many fingers are mostly connected with the phalanges of normal fingers. The morphology and structure of multi-fingers are very different, which can be expressed as small spherical fleshy growth, only connected with normal fingers through a linear pedicle, or as well-developed fingers with nails, bones, joints, tendons, nerves, blood vessels and other structures. Sometimes it is difficult to tell which finger is normal and which is redundant.

The treatment is surgical removal of redundant fingers and local plastic surgery.

Now that two children are open, I believe more parents are ready to welcome a new family member. I hope they will avoid contact with some toxic and harmful chemicals before and during pregnancy, or some suspicious substances that are highly suspected at present, and finally usher in a healthy and lively baby.
