Linxiang tea is a specialty of Linxiang City, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. Tea is a traditional cash crop in Linxiang. Rich in green tea and side tea (green and brown brick tea).

Linxiang City is listed as one of the 2 1 base counties (cities) in China, with 75,000 mu of tea gardens and 8,800 tons of tea, including 50 tons of famous tea, 270 tons of green tea and 8,600 tons of black tea.

Except Jiangnan town, all the other 19 township offices produce tea and have state-owned professional tea farms. The main tea-producing towns are Hengpu Town, Nieshi Town, Zhongfang Town, Taolin Town and Yanglousi Town. The tea garden covers an area of more than 5,000 mu, of which the tea garden in Hengpu Township covers an area of over 6,543.8+0,000 mu.

Later, domestic scented tea was transported to Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and other flower producing areas to make finished scented tea. After 1992, scented tea is rarely processed.

(1), Baishi Maojian: Baishi Maojian is produced in Baishi Tea Farm in Hengpu Township. 1977 made Maojian tea on this farm and named it "Baishi Maojian". 1982 was rated as "famous tea" in the province. In the production, fresh leaves are selected and processed by spreading, deactivating enzymes, spreading wind, primary kneading, frying, re-kneading, strip making, refining and drying. Tea leaves are curved in shape, bright in color, green in color, smooth in soup color, fragrant and refreshing, with even light green leaves at the bottom, with an annual output of more than 500 kilograms.

(2) Thousand-needle asparagus: Thousand-needle asparagus is produced in the city's demonstration tea farm, formerly known as "Linxiang Dongting Spring". 1985 won the provincial high-quality tea, 1989 was registered and renamed as "asparagus with thousand needles", 1989- 199 1 year, and was awarded the provincial famous tea for three consecutive years. In production, Tomb-Sweeping Day picked a tea and a leaf before and after, showing the shape of a magpie's mouth, and sprinkled them with green. The tea strips are tight and straight, covered with white hair. After brewing, they are fragrant and mellow, and even the leaves in the soup are slightly green. 1989 total output 1200 kg. The total output in 2002 was 600 kg.
