1. Prevent being cheated. In order to meet the needs of the masses, most orchid merchants rushed to the orchid production areas and markets, and the sale was basically fair. They have made contributions to enliven the orchid market, exchange orchid art and develop the orchid cause. However, a few fraudsters who seek personal gain by cheating also appear from time to time, and their fraud methods mainly include the following.
Ye Jia: Or the edges of green leaves or raised veins are slightly scratched or worn, resulting in yellow or white lines, which are sold as line art orchids. Cymbidium hybridum (with thick veins) is most likely to make such a fake. Or use pigments to draw yellow or white lines on hard orchid leaves (mostly cymbidium or cymbidium) for line art orchid sales. Or grinding fuzzy lines at the tail of leaves for scratching or sweeping the tail. Or cut off the long leaves in the same orchid, leaving only the short leaves for sale as dwarf orchids. Or sell orchids with yellow leaves or yellow spots due to poor growth as exotic leaves or spots. The identification of this leaf mainly depends on whether the edge of the plaque is clear, whether it can still carry out photosynthesis, and whether its yellow color has a healthy luster.
Fake flowers: Or cut the flowers of rare orchids (such as cymbidium hybridum, cymbidium hybridum and cymbidium parvum), insert them into the reed heads of common orchids or the bases of two leaves, fix them with glue, and wrap them with water moss to sell them as rare orchids. Or put white plastic buds on the heads of ordinary orchids, wrap them with water moss, and only expose white buds, and sell them as plain orchids. Or inject chemicals into the reed heads of orchids that are about to bloom to make white flowers open and sell them as orchids. This kind of orchid will rot after ten and a half months at home.
False roots: put the roots of other orchids on the damaged rare orchids without roots, generally insert and fix them with small bamboo sticks, and sell them as rare orchids with healthy roots and fresh roots.
Fake plants: Or sell seedlings orchids as dwarfing plants. Or in the case of only one or two orchids, cut off some orchids with certain characteristics and sell them as exotic orchids. As soon as this orchid grows new leaves, it is just like ordinary orchids. Or cut off the old leaf springs in some orchid plants that turn yellow when they sprout, leaving only a little yellow buds and selling them as Ye Yilan with tiger spots.
Fake variety: or sell Ophiopogon japonicus as a line orchid. Or sell the silvery evergreen seedlings as silvery orchids or even Damocles. Or sell the seedlings of pig excrement beans as cymbidium rotundifolia (a precious variety). Or the common orchids with better plants are sold as Yongfusu and Longyan. Or sell ordinary orchids with white buds as Bai Mo and green ink. Or treat Eupatorium adenophorum as a rare orchid and sell Eupatorium adenophorum as a rare orchid. Identifying the authenticity of these orchids mainly depends on the roots. Ophiopogon japonicus is a fibrous root, the roots of Evergreen are larger fibrous roots, and the roots of Hudoolan and Tailan are twisted and thin. The roots of really rare domestic orchids are mainly fleshy roots as big and round as chopsticks. There are also reincarnated flowers and day lilies that are sold as orchids. Their roots are fibrous roots, unlike orchids.
Virtual price: or take orchids with only dark lines (waterline, that is, inconspicuous spots or spots) as the real price; Or use an orchid with only two leaves as a gun (in fact, it can only be counted as half a gun); Or treat diseased orchids as healthy orchids; Or sell the reduced varieties at the original price.
There are many kinds of tricks, and the tricks are constantly changing, and the tricks are becoming more and more sophisticated. Buyers of orchids must be vigilant and carefully identify.
2. Choose blue plants. Generally speaking, it is more reliable to buy orchids in orchid gardens, orchid gardens and flower shops. Buying orchids from ordinary farmers in orchid producing areas is rarely deliberately deceived because of lack of orchid knowledge. Although the above purchases are not deceived, there are also problems of choice. Pay attention to the following aspects when choosing.
Look at this orchid. If two or three plants are connected together, the other plant is a new bud and a new orchid, which is easier to plant. If it is a single plant and an old plant, it is difficult to produce new buds. If a single plant is strong and vigorous for a year or two, it can generally grow and germinate. If four or five or more plants are connected together and grow vigorously, they are most likely to bloom. It also depends on the leaves of each plant. Generally, plants with more than three leaves per plant are more prosperous, and orchids or cymbidium with more than five leaves are better. If there are only one or two leaves per plant, the survival rate is even lower.
Look at Lantou. It is best to have a big and round reed head, which is more likely to survive and bloom because of its large nutrient reserves. If it is not a seedling, it should also have a head, and a little round is better. The reed head is green, yellow-green, bright, fresh, wrinkled and old, and it is difficult for old orchids to sprout new buds.
Look at these leaves. The leaves are thick, straight or soft, the tail lines are slightly raised and clear, and the color is heavy and dark. Different from ordinary orchids, the leaves are short, wide or linear, but thick, which is a characteristic orchid and has more cultivation value. If the leaves are light and thin, the flowers are generally thin and have poor ornamental value. If the leaves are rotating, soaring, spoon-shaped and dragon-walking, if they belong to one plant, they will not remain the same after cultivation, but will only become ordinary orchids. At least three generations (that is, three plants connected together) have basically the same leaf shape, and the new shoots can easily maintain the original characteristics of their strange leaves. The dried leaves of orchids are dehydrated and difficult to grow. Although the leaves of orchids are still green and shiny, those orchids that are relatively disabled and have signs of erosion at the roots of reeds are difficult to grow. Those orchids with pathological changes and destruction mechanisms, such as partially shrinking and drying, orchids with a large number of black spots and dark yellow erosion spots at the base of leaves, should be carefully considered when purchasing. If the leaves are only a little dry and burnt at the tail, it is a sign of drought and minor injury. The leaves with defective edges and other parts that are robust and prosperous are bitten by insects, and most of the leaves with small white spots are parasitic by scale insects. The above three situations are very easy to handle, or replenish water or exterminate insects, and the new buds are expected to be strong, so it is no harm to buy them. The leaves of orchids are bright green, relatively complete and easy to plant. Stipules are scattered or even filiform, either old orchids or left for too long after harvesting, and the quality is poor. All the whole leaves, whole leaves or the middle, base or tail of leaves with special health performance different from ordinary orchids are expected to become Lan Qi.
Look at the roots. Generally speaking, white roots are better. Round, loose, white and fresh. Although the roots are dry, they are still soft but not brittle, and the leaves on the reed head are all good, which is harmless. The roots of Cymbidium hybridum and Eupatorium odoratum in Taiwan Province are small and flexible, preferably fresh or dry but not crisp. Some Cymbidium hybridum and Cymbidium hybridum have developed roots, and the thick circle can reach the size of a ballpoint pen rod, which is not necessarily a good variety. Although there are many roots, it is even worse to break them to the junction of reed heads. It is best to have only two or three, but they are all fresh and complete. The roots are completely broken, and the remaining reed heads and leaves are good, but they are expected to be planted alive, but they should be good at planting and management. If the roots are swollen and not eroded, they should be washed and dried before planting. Multi-branched orchids, that is, those with a fleshy root in the middle, are vigorous orchids, which are easier to grow.
Look at this bud. It is a very delicate job to distinguish varieties by looking at buds. Some people even look at them with a magnifying glass in order to see more realistically. This is mostly based on personal experience, without the help of instruments or scientific identification methods of drugs. According to experience, the following kinds of buds may be good varieties.
Orchid plants with dense buds and short stipules are stronger, and exotic flowers and grasses may also appear.
If the new bud is pure white or green or yellow or red, and it is bright pink, the so-called pure color means that the stipules or leaves of the whole bud are free of variegated inclusions. Such a bud may be a vegetarian flower or a vegetarian species, or an essence or a green pigment or a flavin or a lycopene. The so-called possibility is not necessarily. According to the author's observation, generally speaking, the new buds are bright, white and green with no noise, which may be green or plain flowers. Those with green and white buds and purple veins are mostly non-vegetarian flowers (purple flowers or red flowers). Those buds are bright red and purple, and the veins are purple and black. Most of them are purplish red flowers with a faint heart (color heart, that is, the lip has mottled spots). Buds are white, yellow-green, and purplish red, often yellow or white halo flowers. Those with bright pink buds are expected to be red or pink flowers.
In Cymbidium hybridum, the new buds are round or flat, which is expected to be an excellent variety in old age, flat and loose, and the leaves are generally thin and poor in old age.
Look at this bud. Its principle is basically the same as watching new shoots. One thing to note is that those big, round or oval, strong and brightly colored buds are expected to be plum petals, lotus petals, butterfly petals and exotic flowers. Anyone with a particularly healthy bud shape should also pay attention to it, and wonderful flowers are expected. Buds are generally smooth and often mistaken for vegetarians. In fact, as long as the bud is slightly muddy in the middle, it is a dizzy variety.
Look at flowers. It is generally better for flowers to stand tall, but some people appreciate them lying gracefully on the green leaves. It is better to have many, smart, big and fragrant flowers. It is best to have many flowers, good layout, unique flowers, typical petals and special fragrance. The petals are beautiful in quality and bright in color. All flowers are good. The fragrance is too sweet or too green, and it is better to be pure or fragrant. Strange flowers and plants should be as strange as every flower, and it would be better if all the flowers in the same plant were as strange. If an arrow takes seven or eight flowers and only one is strange, Spran may not be surprised. Exotic flowers and weeds should also be based on health and beauty. Exotic flowers and weeds do not mean sick flowers or residual flowers.
Pay attention to the season and weather when buying flowers. Flowers purchased at flowering stage are easy to identify, but if they are purchased in bulk instead of potted plants, it will be difficult to keep the flowers in full bloom when planting. If you buy it from a reliable person, it is best not to spend the flowering period. Hand-planted flowers have special appreciation significance. Orchids are best bought in spring and autumn. It is not advisable to buy orchids in hot days, rainy days (especially rainy seasons), windy days and cold days (such as frost and snow days).
Be careful not to be manipulated by blue businessmen. Some blue businesses are good at manipulating customers' purchasing psychology. You took a fancy to it at once. He mastered your psychology and didn't sell it without asking for a high price. He peeks into your mind, says what you want, and then sells it at a high price. He sometimes lures you to buy orchids that he wants to sell quickly by a diversion. Some partners also drive up prices, or speculate to lure you into being fooled. These can't be ignored. Of course, there are also many honest blue businessmen.
