How to reshape the free spindle?
A: The free spindle is composed of trunk, central main branch, main branch and fruiting base branch. The trunk height is about 70cm (jujube-grain intercropping is about 120cm). The whole tree has 8 ~ 12 main branches, and the main branches are planted on the central main branch. As a result, the basic branches were planted on the central main branch or other main branches, the distance between main branches was 15 ~ 20cm, and the included angle (bottom angle) between main branches and central main branches was 70 ~. The horizontal included angle between two adjacent main branches is above 120, and the main branches are staggered. The distance between two overlapping main branches should be above 1 m. The angle of the base branch is larger than that of the main branch at the same level, and the growth potential is weaker than that of the main branch at the same level. Therefore, the size of the base branch depends on the space in the crown. The height of the tree is controlled at about 2.5 meters, and the whole crown is spindle-shaped. Shaping method: When the trunk diameter reaches about 2 cm after jujube planting, when pruning in spring and winter, select strong buds with the height of 1m for double-shearing fixation, take the newly developed jujube head as the extension branch of the central main branch, and select 2-3 secondary branches with suitable orientation, angle and spacing from 70 cm away from the cutting buds, and leave 1-2 jujube rootstock. When the central main branch is about 2 cm thick (if it can't be delayed 1 year), select the strong bud about 40 cm away from the last main branch for double cutting, and the new jujube head will continue to be an extended branch. Select 2 ~ 3 secondary branches with proper direction, angle and spacing, and leave 1 ~ 2 jujube rootstock for short cutting, so as to promote the development of strong new jujube tree heads as main branches. Thirdly, except for the main branch, the other jujube heads and secondary branches with good growth position and good growth are cultivated into fruiting base branches or fruiting branches, and those without growth space are drained from the base (Figure 10).
