Is cosmetic control a psychological problem?
Ms. Shu Chang, chief psychological consultant and chief psychological trainer of Beijing Jinyulai Mental Health Research Center, believes that although everyone has the heart to love others, frequent plastic surgery actually reflects the resistance caused by dislike of their appearance, and even produces irritability and anxiety, which is a psychological problem. Shu Chang mentioned an incident she met not long ago. She said, "I got a call from a middle-aged woman from other places. She said that she was a failure after plastic surgery in the local area and wanted to come to Beijing for plastic surgery until she was satisfied. Later, a friend took her to the largest plastic surgery hospital in Beijing. My friend came back and told me that the doctor told her that her plastic surgery was not a failure, but a normal reaction during the recovery period. However, she is still very anxious to say that she can't agree with the expert's opinion and hopes to help find a Korean expert to give her another plastic surgery. She also said:' My heart is dead, and my husband is with me every day because I am afraid that I will commit suicide. If my appearance can't change immediately, how can I go out to meet people?' "She said that the reason for this lady's plastic surgery is that her husband is handsome and has a successful career, which makes her feel a sense of crisis. On the other hand, in business, beauty helps her make money easily, and it is reasonable for her to want to keep this beauty. However, her high dependence on cosmetic surgery and demanding of surgical results made her extremely anxious, which meant that she had psychological problems. "Reorganization" is a manifestation of self-denial. According to Shu Song's analysis, addiction is dependence. Addiction to anything will lead to dependence. Plastic surgery is also addictive, which is based on the dependence on beauty. The psychological problems of these "plastic surgeons" are rooted in their resistance to their looks. She thinks that people who choose plastic surgery have various motives. Some in order to find a good job; Some want to win the long-term love of their partners; Some are eager to strut in the crowd because of their beauty; Some people try to correct their fat posture after giving birth, some people want to be singers and actors ... no matter what their initial motivation is, they don't accept their present self and long for another self. If you are driven by the love of beauty, it is not too much to accept yourself. Now, I want to remind you that after the "whole", you still don't accept yourself, and even you have to be satisfied with what you imagined. This is a very serious psychological problem, which belongs to self-denial in the psychological sense. A person who denies himself will be very anxious and even hate himself. In fact, she may not be satisfied with anything, because being satisfied or dissatisfied with herself is a change and adjustment of mentality. Doing "psychological homework" before plastic surgery is just a means for people to pursue beauty. It is a matter of mentality to stubbornly pin everything on the change of appearance. Shu Chang suggested that if you decide to have plastic surgery, you should not only choose qualified regular hospitals and medical beauty institutions to communicate with doctors, but also do a good job in "psychological homework". Third, you can find an excellent psychological counselor for follow-up psychological support.
