Similarity: Both words can refer to exams and quizzes.
Difference: The exam is mainly a more formal and important exam, such as the final exam, senior high school entrance examination and college entrance examination. Testing generally refers to ordinary unit inspection or unit detection.
Two: the difference in usage
Exam can only be a noun, and test can be both a noun and a verb.
