Why is the scar on the neck incision after thyroid nodule surgery not obvious for some people and particularly obvious for others?
This is actually caused by the normal edema reaction of postoperative incision. Because the upper and lower flaps of the incision should be widely separated during thyroid nodule surgery, it is easy to cause edema around the incision. Especially for middle-aged and elderly women, the incision is prone to edema due to loose skin and much adipose tissue. In this case, patients need not panic. Generally, within 2 months after operation, with the absorption of edema, the incision will gradually return to flatness.

Qingzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is carrying out a series of "Butterfly Action" public welfare activities to care for the majority of thyroid patients. This activity is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2:00-5:30 pm for public screening of thyroid diseases.
