The school was founded in 19 15, formerly known as Chengzhi School. 1952, the middle school department of Chengzhi School merged with the middle school department of yenching university Affiliated High School and was renamed as "Tsinghua University Affiliated High School"; 1958, "Tsinghua University Workers and Peasants Accelerated Middle School" was merged into the High School Attached to Tsinghua University; 1960, Tsinghua High School was expanded into Tsinghua High School.
20 19 March official website shows that the school covers an area of 120 mu, with a building area of more than 50,000 square meters. There are 30 senior high school classes, 1200 students, 36 junior high school classes, nearly 1500 students and nearly 300 faculty members.
