Introduction: This book is a textbook for long-term clinical surgery teaching. Since 1998, our school (formerly Beijing Medical University) has added a 7-year clinical medicine major, which has been continuously enrolled for 14 years. Teachers who have participated in teaching for many years deeply feel the urgency and necessity of compiling a new textbook with long-term academic system, so as to consolidate the achievements of teaching reform, further improve teaching quality and strengthen inter-school communication. Therefore, according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education for long-term professional training, this textbook is compiled by senior teachers and young and middle-aged backbone teachers in affiliated hospitals and clinical teaching hospitals of our school, referring to foreign classic textbooks and other surgical books, and combining the accumulation of teachers' teaching practice experience for more than ten years and the effect of clinical teaching reform. In addition to emphasizing the need to strengthen basic theoretical knowledge, highlighting the principle of wide caliber and wide adaptability, the compilation also strengthens the requirement of combining theory with practice. This book has the following features:
1. Try bilingual writing to strengthen foreign language learning. Taking human physiology in our school as a sample, this book tries to strengthen the teaching of English keywords in textbooks, so that students can expand their professional English vocabulary by learning professional content, which is conducive to improving their English literature reading ability.
2. Break through the traditional teaching material mode, advocate content updating and open up new ideas. This textbook not only introduces the concept, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment principles of diseases in general textbooks, but also selectively introduces some promising new concepts, new theories or new therapies and technologies that may be popularized in the short term, as well as some new concepts or regulations that are still brewing in China and internationally used, so as to inspire students' innovative thinking and do a good job for them in the new environment after graduation. In addition, the textbook also includes some content for group discussion and individual self-study, which helps students choose scientific research topics later.
3. The teaching materials are equipped with CDs, and foreign teachers are invited to read the key terms and notes in each chapter to help students learn foreign languages by themselves and improve their listening, reading, speaking and writing abilities. Because this book is written for the first time, the number of authors is very large, and the understanding and understanding of the above requirements are different. Therefore, the depth and breadth of each chapter and the range of English vocabulary selection may be complicated and unbalanced to varying degrees. Coupled with the hasty completion of this book, coupled with our limited experience and level, shortcomings and mistakes are inevitable and need to be continuously improved and perfected in future practice. I sincerely invite colleagues from all walks of life to criticize and correct me.
