Plant growth regulators are widely used in agricultural and forestry production all over the world. There are more than one variety of 100 commercialized abroad, including vegetables, fruit trees, cotton, tobacco, rice, wheat, corn and soybeans.

Otherwise, not only can it not promote growth, protect flowers and fruits, and supplement fertilizers, but it will cause phytotoxicity due to improper mixing. For example, ethephon liquid is usually acidic and cannot be mixed with alkaline substances; Ammonia methyl ester is easy to decompose when it meets alkali, so it can't be mixed with alkaline pesticides and fertilizers.

3. Use it correctly. Some vegetable farmers often use water directly without reading the instructions carefully before using plant growth regulators. Whether it can be directly mixed with water must be clearly seen, because some plant growth regulators are not directly soluble in water. If the mother liquor is not prepared in advance and then the required concentration is prepared, it is difficult to mix the chemicals evenly, which will affect the use effect. Therefore, it must be diluted in strict accordance with the instructions.

4. Growth regulators cannot be used instead of chemical fertilizers. Growth regulators are not plant nutrients, they can only regulate growth and cannot be used instead of fertilizers. Under the condition of insufficient water and fertilizer, it is harmful to spray too much plant growth regulator. Therefore, when plants are found to be in poor growth, we should first strengthen the management of fertilization and watering, and then use growth regulators to effectively play its role.
