Is the file as sharp as a knife?
The file is sharp but fragile. At present, the material with the best comprehensive performance of domestic tools is 9Cr 18MoV (corresponding to American 440B, Japanese SUS440B, German X90GrMoV 18, French Z6CND 17.438+02). Some common common alloy steels, such as 8MnSi, have higher hardenability than ordinary carbon steel and can be used to make chisels, saw blades and woodworking blades. Cr06 has wear resistance and high hardness, but its hardenability is not high (usually provided by strip), and it is fragile and easy to break. Used for manufacturing razors, surgical sharp cutting tools, scrapers, meat cutters, files, etc.
