Buxus macrophylla, alias Zhengmu, Buxus macrophylla, evergreen shrub or small tree. Dense branches and leaves, spherical cap, green and smooth branchlets, nearly quadrangular. The leaves are opposite, thick leathery, obovate or elliptic, with blunt teeth at the edge, dark green and bright surface, and the fruit is pink and nearly spherical. Like light and shade, like warm and humid climate, like drought and barren, very resistant to plastic pruning. Often used as hedges and demarcation trees.
