How to manage watermelon grafted in greenhouse after planting?
1. Slow seedling management

Check the survival of melon seedlings 3 days after planting, and replant them immediately if there are dead seedlings. When wilting or stiff seedlings are found, in the sunny afternoon, each plant is watered with 500 ml of 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 0.4% urea solution, or sprayed with 1000 times of Lvfenwei No.2 on the leaves. After planting, heat preservation is the main method, the greenhouse is sealed, and the temperature in the small arch shed is kept at 30 ~ 35℃. It is rainy these days, so we should water less.

2. Stretching management

After the seedlings are delayed, the temperature in the shed is controlled above 20℃, and then the plastic film on the shed is removed. If the temperature in the shed exceeds 30℃, choose the leeward place to start ventilation and cooling. When the temperature in the shed exceeds 35℃, it should start to cool down, but attention should be paid to the damage to melon seedlings caused by too fast cooling. In the afternoon, when the greenhouse temperature reaches 30℃, close the vent.

However, in cloudy days and at night, covering should be the main way to keep warm, and the temperature of melon shed should be kept above 13℃ at night. When the temperature of the melon shed is stable above 15℃ at night, the small arch shed can be removed. Seven days after slow seeding, nitrogen fertilizer was applied 1 time, and 5kg urea was applied to every 667m2 hole to promote the development of lateral branches. After the vines leave, manage the vines in time and let the vines climb sideways. Prune the vines in the afternoon to avoid damaging the hair or flower organs on the vines. After 60cm, start pruning the main vines, remove the weak vines and keep the strong ones. Finally, two thick lateral vines are left for each plant, and the rest are cut off continuously.

The pruning of grafted watermelon can't be done in one step, but should be done in stages, every 3 ~ 4 days 1 time, each time 1 ~ 2 lateral vines. Do not prune after fruit setting. During the period, the seedlings were fertilized, the leaves were dark green, and no fertilization was applied; The leaves are light green, nitrogen fertilizer 1 time, and urea 5kg per 667m2 hole. Before fruit setting, the plants grew vigorously, the leaves were dark green and no chemical fertilizer was applied. On the contrary, fertilization should be applied properly 7 days before the female flowers bloom, and 5kg of ternary compound fertilizer of potassium sulfate should be applied every 667m2.

3. Results Period Management

The temperature in the shed should be kept at 25 ~ 30℃ during the day, and the melon shed should not be lower than 15℃ at night, otherwise it is not easy to set fruit. When the second batch of watermelons bear fruit, the outside temperature has already risen very high. At this time, we should pay attention to cooling and ventilation, pay attention to opening the membranes at both ends of the melon shed, and remember to open the window in the middle of the melon shed.

The plant grows well, the ovary develops normally, and the 1 female flower of the main vine and the lateral vine sits on the melon. When flowering, artificial pollination should be carried out at 7-9 am, postponed appropriately on cloudy days and advanced appropriately on sunny days. After artificial pollination, mark it and indicate the fruit setting time. After successful fruit setting, each seedling should be kept normal, and the rest should be picked. Each of the second batch of watermelons left two young fruits, and we will see the growth results of the seedlings in the future.

When young melons and potatoes are big, apply fertilizer 1 time, apply potassium sulfate ternary compound fertilizer 10kg and potassium sulfate 5kg every 667m2, and then apply fertilizer 1 time every 7 ~ 10 days, with the same dosage as the first time. Stop fertilization 10 days before watermelon harvest.
