Sequelae include:
1. Hematoma: If breast reduction or breast augmentation is performed at the same time, due to stripping and gland removal, sometimes it may be possible to stop bleeding without complete direct vision. Blood oozes out of the wound after surgery and accumulates to form a hematoma.
2. Breast asymmetry: Many patients’ breasts are not completely symmetrical. Their shoulders are not on the same plane, and their breasts are asymmetrical in appearance. This mild asymmetry generally does not cause too much trouble to patients and doctors. It is a big trouble, but serious postoperative asymmetric deformity needs to be prevented, and if necessary, secondary breast ptosis and lift surgery can be corrected.
3. Nipple and areola necrosis: mostly due to improper surgical operation, which damages the blood vessels supplying the nipple and areola skin flap.
4. Skin necrosis: When choosing a breast lift surgery method, the appropriate surgical method should be selected according to the type and degree of breast sagging.
5. Abnormal morphology: Abnormal nipple and areola include nipple upward and areola out of round.
