The Historical Evolution of Huanggang Central Hospital
Huanggang Central Hospital of Hubei Province (formerly the First People's Hospital of Huanggang City) is located in Huangzhou, an ancient city, with the Yangtze River in the south and Dongpo Chibi in the north. The hospital was founded in 1890. After several generations of unremitting efforts, it has now developed into a large-scale comprehensive third-class first-class hospital in eastern Hubei, an international baby-friendly hospital and a world network emergency rescue center, undertaking the task of disease prevention and control for the city's 7.4 million population and surrounding people. The hospital covers an area of 62,200 square meters, with a building area of 1 1 1,000 square meters and a green area of over 35%. It is a technical guidance center integrating medical treatment, prevention, scientific research, teaching and rehabilitation in Huanggang market, and also a teaching hospital of Tongji Medical College, Wuhan University Medical College, Xianning Medical College and Yunyang Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
